What are The Courier Food & Drink Awards and what do they aim to do?

The awards were set up to find and celebrate the achievements of eateries and businesses throughout Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perthshire. Entries are invited in twelve categories.

 

What are the benefits of entering?

Entering The Courier Food & Drink Awards provides an opportunity to review key areas of success, and what contributed to it. Putting your business forward to The Courier Food & Drink Awards gives you the chance to be benchmarked against peers and competitors whilst raising your profile in the local area.

 

Who can enter/eligibility?

The awards are open to any business of any size which is headquartered or has significant business and employment interests in the Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perthshire areas.

 

How to enter?

Browse the categories and the corresponding criteria to determine which is/are the most relevant to your business. The entry form can be completed online or provided as a word document and returned to Sharon Methven at smethven@dcthomson.co.uk when completed.

 

What supporting material is accepted?

Any relevant marketing support material which you feel would add weight to your entry can be emailed directly to Sharon Methven at smethven@dcthomson.co.uk.

 

What are the criteria?

The criteria for each category is outlined on the category section of the website. If you have any questions, please contact Sharon Methven direct.

 

Entering multiple categories?

Companies can enter as many categories as desired and a separate entry form must be completed for each category along with any supporting evidence.

 

Is there an entry fee?

There is no cost for entering The Courier Food & Drink Awards.

 

What is the closing date?

The entry period will close on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 5pm.

 

What is the judging process?

All entries will be judged on the criteria outlined in the category section. The panel will meet to decide on a shortlist and subsequent winner for each category.

 

When will the shortlist be revealed?

The shortlist will be announced in paper and online Saturday, February 3, 2024. If you have been shortlisted, you will be contacted by a member of the DC Thomson Events Team prior to this. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

 

When and where is the awards ceremony?

The Courier Food & Drink Awards 2023 ceremony and dinner will be held at The Old Course Hotel, St Andrews on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

 

How can I attend the awards ceremony?
