  • Mike Beveridge, Managing Director, Simmons Energy

    Simmons Energy – a division of Piper Jaffray, is a leading specialist investment banking firm dedicated to the energy industry. Simmons Energy’s parent group Piper Jaffray is a broad based mid-market investment banking firm and is listed on the NYSE.

    Mike joined Simmons in the late 1990’s as a leader of a team headhunted to establish and then develop Simmons European operations out of Aberdeen.

    Simmons’ transaction work is very international, servicing clients in multiple jurisdictions and with most projects being “cross border” in nature.

    Over the years Mike has acted as lead advisor on multiple buy side, sale side and finance raising transactions for a diverse range of clients across the entire spectrum of the energy services industry.

    In his role Mike regularly represents Simmons at industry events frequently as a panellist or speaker and is always happy to provide an honest and often personal perspective on industry trends, and issues.

    Mike began his career as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young having graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a master’s degree in accountancy with economics.

     

     

  • Daniel Grosvenor, Partner, Deloitte

    Daniel is an Advisory Corporate Finance Partner at Deloitte with experience working across the Power and Renewables sector. He is the Global lead of Financial Advisory for Power and Utilities and head of the UK Government and Infrastructure team.

    A focus on low carbon generation has included everything from nuclear new build to domestic solar and batteries with projects including early strategy and market analysis to M&A and fundraising. 

    Daniel provides advice to Governments, major corporates, private equity, lenders and project developers on transactions and projects throughout the power sector for the last 20 years.  He has extensive experience across the power sector including renewables, energy storage, emerging energy technologies and transmission infrastructure.

  • Shaun Reynolds - Partner in Transaction Services, Deloitte

    Shaun is a Partner in Transaction Services, based in Aberdeen. 

    Following 7 years in Deloitte’s London corporate finance department in which he provided a wide range of transaction services to international businesses, largely in the oil and gas sector, he transferred to the Aberdeen office in 2009 to lead the transaction services team.

    His experience incorporates a broad range of services including: acquisition due diligence, vendor due diligence, independent bank reviews and reporting accountant services.
