After several years of gaining experience within the funeral profession, Mark Shaw established Mark Shaw Funeral Services in 2004 at its first office, 347 George Street Aberdeen, which remains in use.
The business was founded on the belief that during a time of bereavement, families need a personal service and flexibility to arrange meaningful funerals in an ever changing world. This must be supported by passionate, knowledgeable staff and first class facilities, ensuring that clients and their loved ones are given the best level of care.
The firm has steadily grown in size and reputation over the years with continued investment in staff, vehicles, and facilities offered to client families. Last year the firm made a significant increase to their funeral home on Abbotswell Crescent, Kincorth by extending into the neighbouring building which allowed greatly improved facilities for visiting families and care of the deceased.
As a local independent firm, community involvement has always been important. The firm supports various local groups and activities and plays an active role in the local business community, and the national Trade Associations to which it proudly belongs’
