Energy Voice Gold Awards

In light of the current coronavirus crisis, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Energy Voice Gold Awards due to take place in September this year.

This was not a decision we arrived at lightly and while The Gold Awards aim to recognise outstanding business achievements within the energy sector, we believe that cancelling the event will give the currently challenged industry time to deal with and bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Gold Awards is an important occasion in the energy industry calendar and we will continue to plan our 2021 event. Thank you for all your support and we look forward to welcoming you in the future.

The Power of Energy Charity Gala

New charity gala launches for energy sector

Saturday 26th November, 2022

P&J Live, Aberdeen

The Power of Energy Charity Gala, is a new event for the energy industry in Scotland, promising to harness the connective power of the sector by bringing individuals and businesses together to champion success and innovation.

The focus of the new annual gala will be to commemorate progress that is being made to reshape the industry for a sustainable future, and to raise vital funds for charity partner Scottish Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).

An evolution of the long-established Energy Ball, The Power of Energy Charity Gala will include speakers from across the energy sector, fundraising for SCAA, entertainment from a live band, and the chance to recognise the people and companies leading the way in redefining the energy industry.

Join us at Aberdeen’s P&J Live on Saturday November 26.

The Power of Energy is presented by Energy Voice – DC Thomson’s leading brand for the energy industry and Sustainable Growth Voice – recently launched companion brand, helping businesses navigate the route to sustainability, with media partner The Press and Journal.

  • Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) saves lives.

YOUR support helps them do it.

For nearly 10 years, the country’s only charity-funded Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) has been flying time-critical paramedic and specialist care to those most seriously ill or injured all across Scotland.

  • Initially a solo-aircraft operation based at Perth, the addition of a second helicopter air ambulance based at Aberdeen in 2020 has seen the charity enter its busiest-ever phase as the demand for rapid-response pre-hospital care continues to grow.

Responding to around 900 emergency call outs last year alone, SCAA has never been more crucial to the country’s life-saving emergency response network.

Able to fly fast and direct to even the most remote and inaccessible parts of Scotland and its many islands, SCAA’s helicopter air ambulances have become a vital lifeline for those who depend on prompt on-scene treatment and rapid transport to appropriate hospitals.

  • Agricultural, industrial, sporting, equestrian, and road traffic accidents all feature regularly on SCAA’s busy workload, as do medical emergencies such as strokes and heart attacks, alongside vital transfer flights for patients from remote areas requiring major hospital care.

And every single one of these life-supporting missions is made possible ONLY by the generous support of the public, businesses, trusts and foundations who recognise the essential role of a charity that has impacted on the lives of thousands in communities all across Scotland.
